You may have asked yourself why a bridal shower is called a shower when there is no shower?
True, it has the connotation of a flood of gifts, all the good ones we dream of. But we also need to have some playful things going on, masquerade like.

But this could be too dry, and shouldn’t a bridal shower have some water in it? But let us now get to the core of the wedding and its masquerade masks, costumes and accessories. We think that they are rather good for photos before the ceremony and party after. For the ceremony, we can’t miss that white and black are de rigueur. For the bride, the white sumptuous wedding dress, like the one credited to Queen Victoria. For the groom, the black tuxedo credited to who’s who; these grooms latter got fancy with jackets of all kind of colors and patterns. But plain red for either the bride or the groom is not excluded, and that would also apply to the velvet-ish colors of the sky or water.
We would not use yellow at our wedding since it connotes jealousy, who needs that one.
The masquerade wedding accessories will set us apart, giving some hints about our personality. If the groom wants to bear the flag of creativity throughout the marriage, this burning man hat will give a hint about it. However, if the bride feels like a burning lady, she can also wear it, but also state upfront what flag she wants to carry. And if the hat is thought to connote setting the wedding on fire, for whatever reasons, let’s forget about it and suggest to the bride either the lace mask or better yet, this trendy rhinestone masks.
